Thenon-profit field of animal and environment is a very importantsub-sector as far as environmental posterity and species protectionsare concerned. Thus, they provide services such as (Boothroyd, 2008):

Pollutionabatement and control: Polluting the environment is tantamount tokilling the animals that inhabit it. Thus, non-profits fight forconservation parks and game reserves so that they can serve asspecific areas of species protection. This explains why manynon-profits in the field and animal field were associated with theBP-shell oil spill. They were concerned that the pollution effectscould render some sea species extinct.

Conservationand protection of the natural environment and organisms that inhabitit: One way through organizations in this field play this role isthrough promoting vegetarianism. Protection the environment is,therefore, done in tandem with protecting the animals that are atrisk of extinction because they are food to humans.
