Beforeproceedingto testthemodelto class,I will firstconducta pilotstudyon itusinga participantwhoseresultsI will excludefrom thefinaldataanalysis.Forthisreason, theresultsof thefinalanalysiswill not matterorbe valuablebecausethehypothesisof thestudyisalreadyknown. After this, randomselectionis thebestformof recruitingparticipantsforthisstudy.Becausethisis a newtechnology to be tested,I will observethestudentsas I measuretheir responses. One of thetwo classeswill be thecontrolgroupforthecaseof theonesusingthenewmodel, andtheotherwill be theexperimentalgroup(Smith, 2015).After assigningrandomnumbers, itis importantto assuretheparticipantsthat my mainobjectiveis to identifyfaultsof thenewE-Z readingprogramandnot testingtheir intelligence.Thisgivesthem thecourageto completethesemestertimeof studywithout shiftingfrom one groupto another.

Inthecaseof thecontrolgroup, everyparticipantwill havesameinstructionsbefore I startobservingtheeffectiveness of thenewprogram.Dueto thefactthatendof semestergradeswill be usedto analyzetheefficiencyof themodel,I will havea shortinterviewwith thecontrolgroupparticipantsto collectmoreinformationwhich will helpinterprettheir performanceindividually. At thispoint,Iwill thendiscussmy experimentalhypothesiswith theparticipantsto seeifthere is anyissuethatmay comeup. Aftertheresultsof thesemesterhavebeenreleasedwelettheparticipantsknowtheoutcomeof thenewmodelFor purposesof reliabilityof theresultsobtainedI will repeattheprocedureagainthefollowingsemesterto seeifthesameresultslike of theprevioussemesterwill beachievedandthengivea conclusionon thenewmodel.
