Voice recognition is one of thefrequently used software packages worldwide to facilitate the processof speech detection. Many software companies try to use this package,but Google and Apple are the outstanding ones. Whether driving,cycling, flying or trekking, communication is a necessity and someare so urgent, thus call for immediate response.

Voicerecognition makes use of an advanced user interface, menu-driven,that favors all mobile users. In this generation, human beings andcomputers operate as counterparts and one cannot function without theother (Stephan, &amp Khudayer, 2010, p. 5). Human beings are dynamicand others may want to use keypads and touch screens to operate theirphones, while others do not fully rely on this alone. Chances ofaccidents are high if people operate mobile phones while driving. Insome countries, it is illegal and can earn one a serious jail termwith heavy fine or penalty. The major reason for its prohibition isthat people tend to concentrate more on their handsets than on thetraffic rules. However, with the menu-driven interface, individualscan easily operate their phones without physically getting intocontact, thus lowering chances of accidents.

Afew individuals can argue that Bluetooth headsets are available toenable people pick phone calls even if driving. This is true to someextent, but communication is not all about calls as other people useemails and text messages as well. Bing, Jibbigo Voice Translation,Chacha Answers, lingo and Siri Assistant are a few of theapplications that provide access to the voice recognition package.Human beings are dynamic and the technology field has to up its gameto remain relevant to the changing demands each day.

Thevoice recognition field requires a number of improvements to be atpar with the current lifestyles and demands. The first possibleimprovement is the development of a conversational voice-activatedassistant. Its main role is to enable short-term memory so that thevoice recognition can respond correctly to any causal question. Theidea of being more conversational also means that the system can seekfor clarification for a vague response and can give suggestions wherenecessary. This improvement will make the system more or less humanwith both short-term and long-term memory. Causal questions are thosethat emerge in the middle of a conversation and needs to be put intoconsideration (Goodman-deane, Keith, &amp Whitney, 2009, p. 3).

Thesecond improvement is to upgrade the system’s language absorptionin a way that it does not force the speaker to use one language in aspecific manner for it to record. This will ensure it is useful toeverybody, since it can store any conversation and take any commandirrespective of the language in use (Goodman-deane, Keith, &ampWhitney, 2009, p. 2). Thirdly, there should be an improvement on itstorage capacity such that it can respond to the specificcapabilities of certain devices and machinery as well. A largestorage capacity also means it can respond to several questions andstore more information as well.
