Addressing the Needs of Women Clients

Addressing the Needs of Women Clients

Women are taking up roles previously considered masculine includingbusiness travels as well as going for holidays. The hospitalityindustry now has an array of clients with varied needs and it callsfor the customization of the services rendered to suit the changingclientele. As a general manager, I have to ensure that our servicesare client oriented and that our institution leads in servicedelivery to women clients. Our hotel provides women-friendly servicesthat are in line with the clients’ needs.

Women travelers and those going for a holiday look for comfortableand secure hotels. Our hotel embraces the need and it has improvedthe safety in the lodging rooms and parking areas. Assuring women oftheir safety and that of their property is imperative in theindustry. Also, we provide single sex butlers, concierges, tourguides and room attendants and assistants since women seeking hotelservices tend to be sex-sensitive when it comes to the delivery ofpersonalized services. I have also introduced the services ofpersonalized shopping assistants as it emerged as a factor thatattracts women. During their stay in the hotel, they require guidesto show them around as they shop. Availing the assistants brings theservices closer, and it saves on procuring assistance from outsidethe hotel.

The hotel is also changing the physical infrastructure to providewomen-friendly services. A major feature is the introduction ofwomen-only floors with customized services for women. They havewomen-only rooms and women friendly room services. The increaseddemand for women-oriented services is a basis for our strategic planto expand the women-friendly services and floors.

In conclusion, our hotel strives to offer the most current servicesat a friendly price. The increasing number of women clients in thehotel requires us t remain current with their needs and provide forthem to see value on the money they spend on services.
